‘Aashiqui 2’ mints Rs 5.75 crores on its release date

Aashiqui 2’ starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, which opened on April 26, has managed to bag 5.75 crores at the box office.

The release of ‘Iron Man 3’ on the same date, the ongoing IPL season and the mixed response from critics has proved to be a dampener for the film’s business at the domestic box office.
Although the film got a fair opening in the North, trade pundits predict that the film could make a total of Rs 15 crores in its first week.
